The Wavelength Group is a specialist healthcare workforce solutions provider. Our Regulatory & Migration team is how the best doctors, nurses and allied health professionals actually get to work in Australia — and we're looking for someone to help employers move the clinicians they've already found, and find the ones they haven't.

Job Description

About the Role

This isn't a generalist migration role. You'll work exclusively across healthcare — aged care, allied health, nursing and private hospitals — which means you go deep on one sector's regulators, registration quirks and urgency, rather than spreading yourself across a hundred visa types and industries.

Over time, you become the person people go to for this. You also won't be building a client base from a standing start. Our executive search practice, our local and international doctor recruitment teams, and our consulting partners all send referral work into migration — a steady flow of employers and candidates who already need this expertise. Every relationship you build here also feeds back into the wider business.

The role blends casework with business development. Alongside managing visa applications, you'll be expected to grow your own pipeline, build relationships with HR Managers, Medical Directors and Practice Managers, and spot registration and migration opportunities as they come up. Your network and instincts matter here as much as your technical knowledge.

A typical week:

Managing visa applications end to end, advising recruiters and candidates, representing clients before the Department of Home Affairs, translating policy changes into client education, opening doors with new healthcare employers, and mentoring the next agent as the team grows.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we're looking for

  • OMARA registration
  • Solid knowledge of Temporary and Permanent Skilled visa subclasses
  • Someone who's comfortable picking up the phone.
  • Experience in healthcare, recruitment, or Visitor/Family visas is a plus, not a requirement.

What you get:

A specialist team with a genuine reputation in healthcare, a business structured to send you work, autonomy to build your own client base, a close-knit team, and flexible working with CPD support.

If you're ready to do more than compliance work, we'd like to hear from you.
